Our American Tri-Five Association California Dreaming Road Trip is going to be an amazing week of fun in the California sun. We will be starting in Northern California and spend a week traveling down the beautiful California coastline staying in many beach towns made famous in story and song. We end up in Southern California in the Huntington Beach area which is Surf City USA. Our week begins on Sunday, May 19 in Rohnert Park and wraps up with a big party on Saturday, May 25 in Huntington Beach.
What does the registration fee include?
The $2495 registration fee is one vehicle and two occupants. It includes either a king room or a double in each of the hotels along the route. Each participant will receive vehicle will receive an embroidered canvas bag, two hats and a license plate. At the beginning of the tour all the participants will receive laminated credentials and a very detailed itinerary that includes maps and a specific schedule of our activities for the week. The admission fees to the museums we will be visiting is included in the registration fee.
What about meals along the way?
Many of the meals along the way will be complimentary. There will be some meals where you will eat at a restaurant of your choice and cover that cost. We will try to have a number of cookouts and gatherings along the way where we will be enjoying meals and refreshments together.
Does everyone stay together on the highway?
We get together at a driver’s meeting each morning before we leave. Since each day’s route is mapped out, we encourage people to go at their own pace. Most folks quickly find others within the group who travel at a similar rate of speed.
How far do you travel each day?
A typical Road Trip day is between 100 to 200 miles depending on whether we have a specific lunch stop or not. Folks will stop for gas and restroom breaks when needed.
Who can register for the Tours?
The California Dreaming and all of the other Road Trips are open to anyone who is a current member of the American Tri-Five Association. We are limiting the number of vehicles on the California Dreaming Road Trip to 50 cars. We anticipate that this Road Trip will sell out quickly.
